Hmmm... now I see that it is random if the program remembers the double shoulders or not - many of the was ok. But now I am checking the walls once again - and at least in one case the shoulders on the one beam were gone.

Maybe I should do what you say - to avoid the problems coming back when I send the project for production.

How should I explode it? Should I stand on the last shoulder and explode, or should I mark all shoulders and explode or should I explode shoulders one by one?

@Dietrichs: This is really something that need a solution - if there are not other ways that works.

I also posted this problem in the german beta forum.
The logic of the program is to connect 1 post to 1 beam and automatically recognize, when one of them is moved; then the connection will also move. What we are trying here is too difficult for this logic, because it should work with 3 beams, but that is not (yet) programmed.

So they should program it, he, he... Very Happy The next question could be: Would it be possible to receive same result with another type of connection? I tried end lap joint, but I am not sure if it works.

You see at this picture how beatiful it is... Wink

The strange thing is that it worked in some walls and stayed ok, and in other walls it did not work and stayed not ok. So now I have done the explode thing in the walls where it was not ok.

A simple solution how to select both double beams would be to make it possible to select items in the section view at the right side of the wall!

Hi Thorvald,

in the actual Beta_6 it is no longer possible to create 2 beam connections with 1 end of a post. Creating one is o.k., when connecting the second, then the first one is deleted immediately by the program. And that is the way the program usually works.

So what you are really saying is that in the future I cannot do this kind of structure!????? Confused Not even with the explode method??

I really wonder why Dietrich will go a step back in stead of going two steps forward! Am I the only person in the world who would like to make this kind of beams over doors and windows?? I think that solution is common?

I don't like that Software limits my solutions and force me to do other solutions!!

Well what you are saying is that I have to think about other solutions for future projects Brick wall One way could be a box - see picture. Hmmm strange - I thought that anything would be possible with Dietrichs! Crying or Very sad

Well I have found other examples of where a 1 post to two beams shoulder connection would be usefull - so to me this debate is not finished. I would still like it to be possible in a better way than today.

Hi Thorvald,

In Dicam use MOS Set 6-2 to select the wall or floor you want to work on.

If the beams have been extented (cut) to the correct length use the Notch function 3-8-4 and you can create as many notches as you need.
With D-CAM you are able to do almost anything.
Try it out

Maybe almost anything is possible in D-cam - but it is not easy, and it is not what I would like. Wall design is such a nice program, very easy to use - so I would like these things to be possible in wall design, without the need of using MOS, exploding etc. Very Happy
