Strange message when opening PlanCad.

My Lithuanian technical drawer, experience something strange, when she open D-Cad.

She get the error message that the program cannot find below files, she press ok, and after 3 times PlanCad opens.

These are pictures for the icons. This problem is very strange because in version 7 you should have all icons or no icon.
Does she have icons in the program?
Does she have the file toolbar.dgz in directory ABB\GER?

I am not sure what you mean with "Does she have icons in the program?". I mean of course she have? In all windows based programs there are icons. I also have icons - but not as many as she have. I have become more used to use combination of the menu's and the "number system". I prefer less icons, for a cleaner program and for a bigger screen space for the work.

Did she enter a new toolbar and then got the message?
Or did she not change the toolbars but suddenly got this message?

She did not change anything in the Dietrichs program. It began to come after they install a new antivirus Software - but this should not have anything to do with it, and is probably just a coincidence.

This can be the result of the problem. Perhaps the antivirus Software produces problems while reading the file for the icon images. Please deactivate the antivirus Software and make a test. Then you know if this is the problem. In this case you can tell the antivirus Software that it should ignore our directory.

Yes, there is something there. When we deactivate the antivirus Software (Kaspersky 2011), PlanCad opens easily.

So it looks like there is something there - but how to prevent it?

there is a "whitelist in Kaspersky, where you can enclose files that not should be scaned

Yes, that would be the solution.
The best would be to tell Kaspersky not to scan the whole Dietrichs directory.

All right - thank you for your help. I will have a look at it. I am not using Kaspersky, but a "whitelist" sounds like something I can figure out...

Ok - I found somewhere in Kaspersky where I could make exclusions. But it did actually not help. Even if I exclude anything that has something to do with Dietrichs. (She have both version 5 and 7 on the computer). But also when we start the main program, there are also a similar error message, because here are also icons.

In PlanCad, I tried to delete all toolbars. and then there were no error message, when opening PlanCad. Then I made the default toolbars and then the error came back.

Another in the office, also has Windows XP and also version 7 Dietrichs and the same antivirus Software - but he does not have this problem....

I don't know what to do next (other than buy her a new computer) - or actually to recommend another antivirus Software. I use Microsoft Security Eseentials and have no problems. But when her collegeue can use Kaspersky and not have the problem, then why she can't? ....

It sounds like Kaspersky does not allow to read the file which contains the images for the icons.
This should work with the exclusion of our directory. Are you sure that you inserted our directory correctly into the whitelist and you hit the checkbox that subfolders should be excluded too?

Thank you for the deeper explanation! I had got the part with Dietrichs folders, but not the part with exclusion of the Dietrichs programs. Now the problem seems to be fixed! (We hope).
