importing dwg

Post Posted: 21.07.2009 15:29

I really like the dwg importing feature. I think it is a great improvement in the compatibility of the Dietrich's Software and I use it quite regularly. This morning I tried to import a dwg file as I've been doing for the last few months and today a little message comes up telling me I have to download an updated version of this devCAD Software. Sad Is this true? Question Is devCAD included in my Dietrich's update renewal contract? Or do I have to purchase a separate licence online? If I must purchase, which version am I supposed to choose to have the same level of compatibility I've had so far?

The devCAD site doesn't say how long a licence is valid for.

Will this patch be compatible with the patch I was sent which fixed the AutoCAD autosave problem?

I'll go and work outside and wait a little bit for more feedback before I start plugging new dhpakt files into the mix.

Thanks Doug

Hi everyone,

I inquired about the patch to fix the dwg import issue and have installed it and all functions work fine now.

Thanks to the programmers who work to keep this product running great!

Hi,

I'm having this this devcad expired problem again. Is the patch previously downloaded still valid? How do I proceed once I have downloaded the dhpakt file??

Thanks

Hi,
At the moment we do have a problem with the system date inquiry of this tool. We are working on a permanent solution, but unfortunately won't be able to come with a satisfying resolution before Version 9.0.
Until then you might find it helpful to use an external converter.
Sorry guys.

I use a program called "Any DWG DXF converter". The trial version is free and can be used indefinitely.

Thanks Fellas,

I tried any dwg, works fine. The version I got though had a limit on how many times one could use it. ??

I also downloaded their pdf to dxf converter which may be handy when possible client send their pdf plans.
