Arc In A Glue Laminated Beam

Can someone explain the best way to draw a 3D beam in D-cam that has an arc to it? See attachment please advise.

2 ways:
- import your arc drawing into Dicam as dxf, then use 2-5 (extrusion)
- use Dicam 2-1-3 with exact parameters

Thanks for the help but now I need to get the laminations to run parallel to the length of the beam. Please see attachment. Is this possible?

Hi Kayaker,

Yes, you can have the lamination's run with the length of the beam but you cannot have the lamination's follow the arc.

When asked for "Extrusion Direction" select "Width". After this you will be asked "Select two points for direction of length (x): This is where you decide what direction you want the lamination's to run.

Of course, nothing is impossible. If you had deep knowledge in the secrets of texture sets, you could show arcs, that look like this:
