Texture map for glulam oak

Hi All

I don't suppose anyone has created a texture for glulam oak. If they have, and would be prepared to share it, I would be extremely grateful.

If not, can someone tell me how I might go about doing it and I will have a go and post the results.

I suppose you are not right... Wink

In the zip-file you'll find a complete texture set. Perhaps the programmers can integrate it into the Software.
For using it immediately, you have to rename the files according to your purpose.

Hi Rob,

I cannot create what you need. The textures have to be integrated by Dietrich's (perhaps in the next update?). All you can do is to rename the new textures with existing file names, but then the original texture will not longer be available (make a backup copy).

I have a document that shows how to add your textures or colors to the program.
I'll try attaching it to this post.
If you have the program known as "MSWord" you can open it and view it.

If it doesn't work for you, let me know and I'll see if I can convert it to pdf for all to see and use.

Hi Jim,

I know this procedure, but it is not yet enough. With "Freitext" you get the same texture on all 6 views of a beam, but the end faces should get a different texture. For this reason there is a file "dhptextu.typ" in the windat directory. If you understand how it works, you can make small changes within this file, but creating a really new texture set will be some more work to do. And you will do the same work again and again after every update. You can overwrite the origial file, but if there are new texture sets from Dietrich's additional to your own ones, someone has to put the changes together into the same file.

Therefore I think it's better to give the texture files to Dietrich's to put them into the program for eternity.

Of course it would be very fine, if one day we could create own texture sets parallel to the "official" version. Pray

I downloaded the textures that Der Planer made and will integrate them into the texture sets. Thank you very much for that.

Dear Freinds,

here are the files for the new texture sets.
New are Oak Glue Lam (Brettschichtholz, Eiche) and
Wood Wall (Massivholz Wand).

Please unpack the attached file to c:\dietrichsXX\.
There will be files replace in WINDAT and FRG directory.
