Relocating the global UCS

Can anyone tell me how you shift the global UCS (0,0,0) to a new point.

Cheers

Hello Rob,

this is not possible. Please tell me, what do you intend with this option?

Hi Florian

I am using 5.04 and in order to rotate an existing building have had to mirror it twice. Once along a 45 degree axis and then again along a 90 degree axis.

Because of this the bottom left hand corner of the building, (which was at 0,0,0) is now at 0,5.486,0.

Of course I can move the building along the Y axis by 5.486m, but it would be much quicker to just move the global UCS to a new point.

Markus tells me that in version 6 we will be able to rotate buildings as well as mirror them. Will we also have the option to either keep or remove the building we want to mirror or copy?

Cheers

Rob

Hi Rob,

you cannot move the global UCS to another point but you can create a user defined coordinate system (2-07-5). If this coordinate system is active everything should work with this system.
